Jon Hamm Makes Pitch to Join Marvel Ahead of 'Avengers: Doomsday'
As the old saying goes, "strike while the iron's hot." For the Marvel universe, there's no better time than now to make a pitch for future roles, and Jon Hamm is ready and willing to do just that (again).
With filming of Avengers: Doomsday underway and Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to release less than three months after Doomsday, the buzz surrounding Marvel's upcoming projects is at a high. And for Hamm, a widely respected actor who's shown he's capable of playing a broad range of roles, he doubled down on his desire to join in on the action.
As Screen Rant revealed, Hamm, who said he pitched himself for a few MCU roles, remains interested in making the jump.
"I don't know [if the roles are still available]. I honestly don't know," Hamm said. "Nobody knows what's going on in the secret world of that company, but I do know that I have a lot of... I have a lot of appreciation for that world, so hopefully that's reciprocated. Why not me?"
Interestingly, Hamm didn't provide much additional insight into what roles he could have his sights set on. Considering how secretive Marvel is with their releases, maybe fans can hold out hope that the Mad Men star quietly has something in the works for down the line.
Time will tell, but for now, Hamm making the leap into the Marvel universe remains nothing more than a "what if" situation.
