Internet in Disgust Over University of Miami’s New Ballpark 'Treat'
Between Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball and even college baseball, the number of wild new food item creations that pop up on social media at or around the beginning of each new season has become a relatively common thing.
It's reached the point where some of the shock value has been diminished—to a certain extent.
We've already been introduced to the 98-ounce souvenir popcorn bat by the San Francisco Giants, which really just fell into the category of ridiculous and funny—and perhaps a potential safety issue—more than anything else.
But every now and then a food concoction comes along where social media join hands in great disgust.
And by the looks of it, the University of Miami has done just that.
Get yourself to U of Miami baseball this weekend.

Starting today, the @MarkLightShake for the homestand against Duke is…
The Pimento Cheese Milkshake.

"Get yourself to [a] U of Miami baseball [game] this weekend," Darren Rovell's post on X began.
Rovell goes on to inform his 1.9 million followers that starting Friday and into this weekend's homestand against Duke, Mark Light Shake will be offering up the following "drink":
A pimento cheese milkshake that will consist of vanilla yogurt, vanilla ice cream, vanilla syrup, pimento cheese, and potato chips, topped with a mini pimento cheese sandwich.
Now, there are quite literally millions of people who enjoy all of the ingredients listed above, just not necessarily mixed together into one glass, much like the replies told us.
"I'd rather eat a Speedway hot dog," kicked things off nicely in setting the overall general tone.
"My lactose intolerance just had a heart attack," @DudeWipes descriptively noted.
"Does it come with Charmin?" one cautious user asked.
You know an item has probably sped well past the line of over-the-top when someone needs to ask, "Is this a bit?" along with someone else flatly saying, "absolutely no chance this is real."
But it is important to call a fair game here.
So while the folks at Mark Light Shake continue to get royally roasted for this one, it should also be mentioned that they do seem to put out what appear to be some delicious creations, like this rivalry duo of milkshakes back on March 20:

And, really, who knows. This "pimento cheese sandwich milkshake" might end up taking off like lightning after this weekend's homestand against Duke and become a season-long mainstay.
