NW OKC clinic named as potential measles exposure site; case count rises to 12
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A pediatrics clinic in northwest Oklahoma City has been identified as a potential measles exposure site as the state's case count rises to 12, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
OSDH says visitors of the Northwest Pediatrics of Oklahoma City at the Mercy Plaza Building on W Memorial Road may have been exposed to measles on April 4 between 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Mercy Plaza Building's lower level lobby, elevators, and the elevator landing and hallway on the 4th floor are also locations of exposure risk.
OSDH has reportedly worked with Northwest Pediatrics to identify those who were potentially exposed and will notify them directly.
The health department also posted updated case numbers on their website on Friday, with the total case count reaching 12 in Oklahoma—nine confirmed cases and three probable.
All 12 people affected are listed as unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
