Jeff Bezos Had Embarrassing Moment Greeting Girlfriend After Spaceflight
Jeff Bezos, the second-richest man in the world, got a slice of humble pie on Monday, and it tasted like dirt.
The Amazon and Blue Origin chief was perhaps a bit too exuberant anticipating his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, walking out of the NS-31 capsule that launched the first all-female crewed space flight.
Aerial footage showed the moment the capsule landed after parachuting into a Texas desert. After safely landing, members approach the capsule to prepare the crew member disembark. That same footage showed an excited Bezos, 61, circling the capsule. At one point he appears to knock on one of the big windows and peeks inside before face-planting hard.

Bezos first hugged Sanchez and the rest of the crew, which included Katy Perry, Gayle King, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
"I can't put into words. We got to see the moon!" Sanchez said after exiting the capsule. "The Earth looked so quiet. I don't think you could describe it."
The capsule flew some 62 miles above the Earth. with the flight lasting approximately 11 minutes.
Though automated and suborbital, the NS-31 Blue Origin flight was deemed a success. The flight also made history, as it was the first all-female crewed space flight since 1963.
