Grace Warrior Casually Chats With a Chicken in a Sweet New Picture
If only we could all start our day like Grace Warrior: casually chatting with a chicken while enjoying some fresh air and sunshine. Yep, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s 4-year-old daughter lives an idyllic life at Australia Zoo! Her Bunny (aka, grandma Terri Irwin) just shared a picture of one of these adorable moments, and we are obsessed with how picture-perfect it is.
“Conversations with a chicken ????,” the wildlife conservationist captioned the picture on Instagram. Bindi commented, “Sweetheart ????.” And it’s so true. Grace couldn’t look sweeter in this snap, dressed in a white summer dress with yellow flowers along the hem. She paired it with a comfy pair of pink Crocs, and has her wavy brown hair secured in a half-pony on top of her head.
Grace sits daintily with her legs out on either side of her and her hands placed primly on her knees. She looks exactly like Cinderella when she fed the chickens in the Disney cartoon! In the picture, Grace smiles at a chicken next to her, whose entire head is twisted to get a better look at Grace. Seriously, she’s the animal whisperer! We can only imagine what adorable things they were chatting about.
The comments were a treasure trove of cuteness, with one person writing, “Fluent in ba-kawk.” Another wrote, “A coupla chatting chickies. So cute.”
“The real ones know chickens are great conversationalists ????,” someone else added.
Earlier this month, Bindi and Powell shared a heartfelt video of their daughter hanging out with another special animal: kangaroos! “Evenings at Australia Zoo,” text over the video read. In the clip, Grace looks gorgeous in a pink tulle Minnie Mouse dress as she helps her dad hand-feed kangaroos in the enclosure. She giggles and chatters away with her dad and the kangaroos in the moment that looks like it was plucked straight from a fairytale.
“Always going to remember these moments ????” Powell captioned the video.
In an interview on the In Real Life with Ellie & Ross podcast in December, Bindi shared that her dad, the late Steve Irwin, would have loved Grace if he had ever gotten to meet her. “Oh man, he would love [her]. She is so much like him, it’s a little scary,” Bindi shared. “She has so much fire and passion and energy in such a teeny tiny little body. I don’t know where it fits! They would be so similar, and, ah, it would just be fun to watch them play.”
How beautiful that the Crocodile Hunter’s legacy lives on in his granddaughter!
