Michael Jackson’s Ex Photographed During Rare Outing
Debbie Rowe, the ex-wife of Michael Jackson, was photographed during a rare outing in Palmdale, CA, on April 14. In photos published by the Daily Mail, Rowe, 66, appeared to be carrying her wallet as she walked over to her Range Rover and hopped in.
Rowe's outing comes just one month after the release of Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson.
"At a little over 53 minutes, 'Leaving Neverland 2' is more of an update than a self-contained work, mostly covering [Wade] Robson and [James] Safechuck’s attempts to pursue legal action against Jackson’s estate in the years since the first movie aired," Slate reports.
Rowe hasn't spoken out about the follow-up documentary, despite appearing in the first Leaving Neverland, which was released by HBO in 2019.
Following her divorce from Jackson — and his 2009 death, Rowe has removed herself from the spotlight — for the most part. In 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"I’m a fighter and always have been," she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. Three months later, she opened up more about the cancer, which was detected during an ultrasound.
In January 2017, Rowe finished her last chemotherapy treatment.
"My badass mom, kickin butt n takin names. Ain’t she f------ fabulous," Paris Jackson captioned an Instagram post at the time, according to People magazine. The post has since been deleted.
Rowe was married to Jackson from 1996 through 1999 and had two children with him; daughter Paris, 27, and son Prince, 28.
