How will Topeka make money on downtown parking?
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Questions and concerns from city leaders about plans to increase parking rates downtown arise after the city council meeting on Tuesday, April 15.
27 News spoke to District 5 councilman Brett Kell and he said he doesn't want to "over charge" just to bring in more money.
"It's kind of a balance we have to work out, that we want to make sure there's available parking for people to go to all these businesses downtown," Kell said. "To get things going downtown better, but we don't also want to just give it away free also."
No action was taken at the meeting. 27 News will continue to track this and bring you the latest updates.
