Telling Details Revealed in Gene Hackman's Wife's Search History
Back in late February, actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead in their Santa Fe home in what authorities initially described as "suspicious" circumstances, sparking an investigation.
After a thorough investigation into their passing, authorities determined that Hackman "was in very poor health" before his death, suffering from numerous medical ailments. Heather Jarrell, New Mexico’s Chief Medical Examiner, ultimately determined that Hackman succumbed to hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease playing a significant role in his death.
Arakawa, meanwhile, was determined to have passed away before Hackman as a result of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome – a rare illness typically transmitted from animals to humans.
Now, some telling details have emerged in Arakawa's Internet search history from the days leading up to their deaths.
According to a report from detectives obtained by Fox News Digital, Arakawa made Internet searches regarding COVID-19 and flu-like symptoms multiple times before she died.
The report says that Arakawa made "multiple searches related to flu and COVID symptoms" from Feb. 8 through Feb. 9. She then searched for "flu and nosebleeds" at 11:52 a.m. on Feb. 10, followed one minute later with another search for "COVID nosebleeds." At 1:15 p.m., she searched, "Can COVID cause dizziness?"
"This data suggests that Betsy was actively researching medical conditions related to COVID-19 and flu-like symptoms in the days leading up to her death," the report stated.
Obviously, this information seems to indicate that Arakawa knew that she and/or her husband were ill and was using the Internet to find the best solution to their illnesses.
