Jay Street in Schenectady to hold 2-day sale event
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Jay Street Marketplace in Schenectady will be hosting a special two-day sale at the end of May. The Sidewalk Sale will take place on May 31 and June 1.
Eight locally-owned businesses will join in for the sale. Each will set up tables on the Jay Street pedestrian walkway to showcase their merchandise, including books, chocolate, art, jewelry and more. The shops will also have special offers and heavy discounts.
According to Jay Street Marketplace, the Sidewalk Sale is aimed at connecting with customers and promoting the walkway's small businesses. This year's participating businesses are listed below:

- The Rabbit Lounge
- The Silver Shop
The Sidewalk Sale will take place on May 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on June 1 from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Jay Street is located in downtown Schenectady and is home to over 25 shops and restaurants.
