Short North Break offers weekly rotating lunchtime deals
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — With the return of in-office work, including the arrival of thousands of State of Ohio employees to Downtown, a new lunchtime deal could help fill nearby restaurants and shops with customers.
The Short North Arts District has announced its Short North Break offer, which allows diners and shoppers to take advantage of a rotating weekly special. According to a news release from the organization, the campaign begins this week and runs Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The incentives could include offers like buy one, get one free lunches, storewide retail discounts, spa bargains for new customers, or a free drink with purchase. The bargains are designed to encourage people to get out and enjoy neighborhood businesses.
This week's specials include:
• 15% off storewide at women's clothier Vamp, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. until April 18.
• A free “Jolt of Java” espresso drink at Studios on High Gallery from 12 noon to 2 p.m., ends April 18.
The Short North Arts District has dedicated a page on its website to update deal seekers, which advertises the Short Lunch Break offer of the week and provides a guide for lunch fare options. The restaurant listings are directory-style, making it an easy go-to inventory for hungry workers. Icons are provided to show which eateries provide brunch, a patio, vegan or gluten-free selections and carry-out service.
