Aaron Rodgers Breaks Silence on New Girlfriend Amid Retirement Rumors
In December 2024, longtime NFL star quarterback Aaron Rodgers casually mentioned his new relationship.
When discussing looming Christmas shopping with friend Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show the future Hall of Fame quarterback said he was waiting on a specific gift. “There was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet,” he said. “I was waiting on this to show up, it showed up today.”
He previously hadn't publicly mentioned dating anyone new - and wasn't spotted with anyone by paparazzi. Fast forward a few months later and Rodgers finally mentioned said girlfriend again while addressing rumors of his potential retirement with McAfee.
"From the jump, I'm in a different phase of my life. I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, and have off-the-field stuff going on that requires my attention," Rodgers said. "I have a lot of things that are taking my attention, and have beginning in January, away from football. That's been where I've been focusing my attention on. Making a commitment to a team is a big thing."
He admitted retirement is very much a possibility. "Retirement could still be a possibility but right now my focus will be on my personal life, and that's what I've told the coaches," he said.
When specifically asked about being linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers admitted he's focusing on his personal life.
"Listen, this entire time I haven't felt like I've owed anybody any sort of decision at any point," Rodgers said. "This is my life. Things are different now. My personal life is different. I have stuff in the inner circle that I'm intimately close to that's really important to me. And I've been upfront with them about that. And said listen, if you need to move on and do something, by all means. Nothing but love and respect."
Rodgers previously dated Danica Patrick, Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley.
