Stephanie Hsu Garden Party, The Flip Side Vegan Market among Portland weekend events
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — While plenty of Easter activities are on the calendar this weekend, Portland is looking forward to other gatherings and celebrations as well.
Here are seven events you could attend these next few days.
Stephanie Hsu Garden Party
When: Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
Where: Tomorrow Theater, 3530 SE Division St, Portland, OR 9720
As part of the PAM CUT Tomorrow Theater’s Carte Blanche series, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” star Stephanie Hsu will lead a talk and garden party. Tickets for the event with the Academy-Award-nominated actress cost $35.
Jimmy O. Yang - Big And Tall Tour
When: Friday, April 18 at 8 p.m.
Where: Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205
Known for appearances in “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Love Hard,” comedian and actor Jimmy Yang is headlining his biggest stand-up tour to date. Yang also starred in Hulu limited series “Interior Chinatown” last year.
Baker's Dozen Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest
When: Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: The ZED, 5716 SE 92nd Ave, Portland, OR 97266
At the ninth annual Baker's Dozen Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest, attendees can try coffee-infused beers from 13 brewers and roasters, as well as donuts from 13 bakeries. Great Notion Brewing, Harder Day Coffee Co and Coco Donuts are among the participating differences.
Barbie Truck Sports Club Tour
When: Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Where: Bridgeport Village, 7455 SW Bridgeport Rd, Tigard OR, 97224
Barbie’s latest truck tour will bring a plethora of sporty merchandise to Tigard’s Bridgeport Village. The exclusive product offerings include baseball caps, duffle bags and keychains.
Malbec in the City
When: Saturday, April 19 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Castaway Portland, 1900 NW 18th Ave, Portland, OR 97209
Held in Castaway Portland, Malbec in the City will bring some of the Willamette Valley’s best Malbec wines to the metro. The event will support Our Legacy Harvested, a nonprofit focused on diversity in the wine industry.
The Flip Side Vegan Market
When: Saturday, April 19 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Hail Snail, 6550 N Interstate Ave, Portland, OR 97217
The Flip Side Vegan Market’s next event will celebrate Earth Day just a few days early. Held at vegan cinnamon roll spot Hail Snail, the market will include more than 30 vendors, a free craft table and a tattoo artist.
4/20 Parking Lot Party
When: Sunday, April 20 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 2145 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97212
Community art center The Roll Up is hosting a parking lot party in honor of stoner holiday 4/20. The free party will feature a DJ, more than 10 local vendors and barbecue.
