Popular Rapper 'Rushed' to New York City Hospital
Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Uzi Vert was rushed to the hospital in New York City on Monday, according to a report from TMZ Hip Hop.
Paramedics in NYC responded to a call for a "sick person" at a luxury condominium in Lower Manhattan on Monday afternoon. An eyewitness told TMZ that Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, was reportedly conscious as he was wheeled away from the scene on a stretcher and put into a waiting ambulance.
"We obtained video from moments after paramedics arrived on the scene ... Uzi got loaded into the ambulance, and security held up an array of black umbrellas to block the view," TMZ wrote.
The rapper's girlfriend, former City Girls rapper JT, was reportedly by his side as he was taken away to the emergency room of a local hospital for treatment.
As of Tuesday, Lil Uzi Vert, 29, remains hospitalized, though the nature of his condition is unknown.
