Jennifer Aniston Had Perfect Reaction to Her Unexpected 'The Last of Us' Cameo
Episode 2 of the second second season of HBO's The Last of Us was shocking for a number of reasons, but while the high-profile character death stole headlines, there was also a quick, unexpected cameo that you might have missed.
Jennifer Aniston was never on the set of The Last of Us, but she ended up in the show anyhow thanks to an old issue of People magazine that Ellie (Bella Ramsey) finds in an abandoned convenience store. The 2003 issue, titled "Best & Worst Dressed," features Aniston on its cover, and the actress was quick to take notice.

Sharing a clip of the show on her Instagram story, Aniston captioned it with a succinct message. "Of all the things to survive the apocalypse," she wrote, accompanied by a cry-laughing emoji and a pair of eyes.

The magazine was a bit of scene-setting for the show, which follows a group of survivors of a fungus-borne zombie pandemic. The outbreak happened in September 2003, meaning the Aniston issue of People would have been the last one printed and on shelves as the world collapsed.
Although Aniston is not featured in the show, season 2 has introduced several new characters. This includes a therapist named Gail, played by Catherine O'Hara, as well as her former husband, the still-unseen Eugene, who was killed by Joel between the first and second seasons.
Aniston does, however, have an interesting connection to the show; she sparked dating rumors after being seen having a lengthy dinner with star Pedro Pascal. He had great things to say about her afterwards, but quickly shot down any romantic connotations.
