Carlos Santana Explains Medical Emergency Behind Sudden Concert Postponement, Hospitalization
Carlos Santana was forced to postpone his concert at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, TX on Tuesday night after the iconic guitarist suffered a reported medical emergency and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. Now, his team is speaking out on what happened.
“Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration,” wrote his manager, Michael Vrionis, in a statement on Facebook. “Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action. He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour.”

According to previous reporting from TMZ, the San Antonio Fire Department responded to the venue during soundcheck Tuesday evening due to "report of an elderly patient who had reportedly fainted and transported them to the hospital with a non life-threatening condition."
Santana also collapsed on stage back in 2022, in an incident that was also blamed on dehydration. He had an unspecified heart procedure in 2021.
The musician is expected to reschedule the San Antonio stop of his tour, his rep confirmed. He currently has shows scheduled for tonight, Friday and Saturday in Texas and Oklahoma as part of his Oneness Tour 2025. Thus far, it appears those shows are still on schedule.
