‘Emily in Paris’ Star Explains Why She Won’t Be Back Next Season
Far from a French exit, Camille Razat confirmed she's saying au revoir to the Netflix hit Emily in Paris ahead of season five. The actor plays Camille deLalisse, one third of a love triangle that also involves Emily and Gabriel, but her storyline won't be continuing in season five.
“After a long journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris," Razat wrote in a post shared on her Instagram page. The actress described her experience as wonderful “one filled with love, creativity and unforgettable memories.”
The post came less than a week after speculation swirled over the actress’s absence from the Season 5 cast list unveiled by Netflix on its Tudum platform.

Why is Camille leaving 'Emily In Paris'?
Camille’s farewell was no surprise to fans. Razat said that despite show creator Darren Star's open door to revisit the character and support from Netflix and Paramount Pictures, she felt it was time to call it quits. “This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end,” Razat wrote. “It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.”
The cast bids farewell
The actress concludes her announcement expressing her love and admiration for the cast, crew and fans. The cast members poured out their love in return.
The first one to send her best wishes was Lilly Collins (Emily), “Love you sister, It’s been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You’re a rockstar. So proud of you.” Collins said.
Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), reflected the sentiment. “Love you so much, always proud of you,” she wrote.
Lucas Bravo also called Razat “my sister,” with Bruno Gouery, who plays Luc adding,, “We’ll miss you.”
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau) echoed the others. “You’ll be so missed ma chérie,” she wrote.
Paul Forma, (known as Nicolas, aka Mindy's boyfriend) also shared kind words. "You brought Camille to life with such depth and elegance! Excited to see everything you create next with @tazarproduction, and huge congrats on the new chapters ahead! Fière de toi"."
In a heartfelt message, Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) spoke about his experience working with Razat. “From day one you’ve been my rider on this show,” he said. “Your passion for story telling, your dark sense of humour, your unwavering ability to stay true to yourself, when everything’s pushing you in a different direction. You’re special Camille and I feel absolutely honoured to of been able to dance with you these past seasons. Keep on shining. I’m going to miss laughing with you. I’m cheering you on in everything you do.”
What's next for Razat?
In her post, Razat revealed that she had recently wrapped two upcoming French series, Nero for Netflix and The Lost Station Girls for Disney+, and announced that she has launched a production company, Tazar Production, that is developing its first feature film. "We mainly produce music videos and short films for now, but we’re currently developing our first feature film, something I’m truly passionate about and excited to grow," she shared.
