Average crawfish prices fall yet again after Easter weekend
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Crawfish prices continue to drop in Louisiana after the Easter weekend.
According to The Crawfish App, costs went down by $.50 cents per pound this week.
The decrease in live and boiled crawfish prices led to retailers dropping their prices.
The average price for live crawfish is $2.60 per pound, while boiled crawfish will cost about $4.99 per pound.
This comes one week after boiled crawfish cost approximately $5.50 per pound.
The Crawfish App said a sack of live crawfish can be purchased for under $100 this weekend.
Experts believe that crawfish will be even cheaper next month.
