UAlbany students tackle FBI physical fitness test
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The FBI's Albany field office teamed up with the University at Albany for a unique recruiting event. Students got to test their fitness against the FBI's physical standards on Friday.
The challenges included sit ups, a 300-meter spring, pushups, and a 1.5-mile run. The partnership aims to give students a firsthand look at the demands of becoming an FBI agent.
"They come out here, they give their best effort, they get some takeaways," Special Agent in Charge FBI Albany Field Office Craig Tremaroli said. "They work with our agents here, they find out opportunities that they can train differently, train harder, so that when they come out here next time, they crush the test."
The male and female students with the most points received prizes from UAlbany's career office. NEWS10's Giuliana Bruno took the test herself. You can see her full story and find out how she did this weekend.
