35-year-old Oklahoma County Detention Center inmate found dead
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma County Detention Center (OCDC) says a 35-year-old inmate was found dead in her cell Saturday morning.
Rachel Nalley was reportedly found unresponsive in her cell by an OCDC officer conducting a welfare check at around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday.
Lifesaving measures were performed by medical staff at the jail and staff with the Oklahoma City Fire Department, but were unsuccessful.
Nalley had been held at the detention center since April 21, after failing to appear in court for previous charges of engaging in prostitution and possession of a controlled substance, according to OCDC.
Officials with OCDC said her death is currently under investigation. No other information has been released.
