Portland's 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade was '100% good vibes'
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The 82nd Avenue Parade of Roses marched once again through Southeast Portland, bringing together parts of the community from up and down that stretch on Saturday morning.
The parade began near Eastport Plaza on Southeast Bush Street and traveled north into the South Tabor neighborhood.
Families enjoyed all kinds of floats, as well as music from an army band, plus unique vehicles like army tanks and the car from Ghostbusters followed along the parade route.
"This is my first Oregon parade and I loved it! It was more than I expected," said parade attendee Jackie Walker. "My favorite was the Senior Club with the little ladies with the aprons. They knocked it out of the park!"
"It's 100% good vibes," added Kaynen Brown, another attendee. "It really keeps the community together once these parades happen. Even though the weather may not be that great, you can still go around and show love for other kids and families."
This marked the 19th year the annual parade has run down 82nd Avenue.
