Scotia clogger turns 100 in style
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) - At 100 years young, Toni Cilberti stays very active. In the last five years, clogging has become a passion.
Known for her positivity and dance moves, Cilberti enjoys her clogging classes at the Clifton Park Senior Community Center. The community of cloggers have become close.
When she turned 100 in early April, local lawmakers presented her with multiple certificates for the occasion. For the big day itself, she didn’t miss the opportunity to enjoy 100 chicken wings at The Rusty Nail in Clifton Park.
"I’m having a great time. I never knew to be 100 you’d get all this attention but you know what? I love it!," said Cilberti.
Cilberti's life hasn’t come without its challenges, including losing the love of her life too early. His memory is kept alive through her wedding dress, considered by some as a piece of living history. The gown is made from her late husband’s nylon parachute from WWII. She donated the treasured garment to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
