Kim Kardashian Making Major Move Against Paris Burglars
Back in 2016, Kim Kardashian was the victim of a terrifying crime when a group of men held her at gunpoint in a Paris apartment as they made away with millions of dollars in jewelry. Now, she is going to have the chance to help bring them to justice.
The reality television star was tied up in the bedroom of the luxury apartment when a group of men wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings stole a $4 million engagement ring given to her by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West along with other jewels.
Now, the group of men is going on trial in Paris, and according to a report from Reuters, Kardashian is set to travel to Paris to give her testimony against the defendants.
Kardashian's legal team told Reuters that she would not offer a comment on the matter before the trial.
"At this time, Ms. Kardashian is preserving her testimony for the court and jury," the team said. "She wishes for the trial to proceed in an orderly fashion in accordance with French law and with respect for all parties to the case."
Kardashian has spoken openly about the event a number of times since the incident, opening up about it on the family's reality show as she recounted the harrowing experience.
The reality star was unharmed physically in the robbery, but she was shaken to the point that she received years of therapy and counseling to help deal with the trauma from the incident.
In total, 10 people will be tried by the criminal court in Paris with five facing armed robbery and kidnapping charges while the others have been charged with complicity in the heist or the unauthorized possession of a weapon.
