Pasta dinner raises $2,000 during Autism Acceptance Month in Rotterdam
ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Monday, the Rotterdam Elks Lodge #2157 and Assemblymember Angelo Santabarbara held a Cavatelli and Meatball dinner fundraiser in honor of Autism Acceptance Month. The fundraiser raised about $2,000 to support the Autism Society of the Greater Hudson Region, Santabarbara said.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit programs and services that support the autism community across the region. According to Santabarbara, the event brought the community together to promote awareness, acceptance and inclusion for not only those with autism but also for their families.
"We had an incredible turnout at tonight’s Cavatelli & Meatball Dinner to benefit the Autism Society of the Greater Hudson Region," Santabarbara said. "Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised close to $2,000 to support programs that make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great night."
