Topeka Brewery wins award at 2025 World Beer Cup
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A brewery in the capital city brought home some hardware after the World Beer Cup 2025.
Blind Tiger Brewery competed in the World Beer Cup on Thursday, May 1, where it placed third. According to a news release from the brewery, it earned a bronze award for its beer, Smokey The Beer, in the Smoke Beer category.
Blind Tiger said this is the fourth award for Smokey the Beer.
"This keeps the winning streak alive at the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival that John Dean, Brewmaster, and Alvaro Canizalez, Head Brewer, and the Blind Tiger Brewery have been winning since 2001," Jay Ives, Blind Tiger President said.
In 2024, three beers from Blind Tiger earn awards from the World Beer Cup. The brewmaster, John Dean, has earned 31 national and international medals as leader of the Blind Tiger brewing Team.
