Kylie Jenner Attends the Met Gala Without Timothée Chalamet
While high-profile events and awards shows seem to be a staple of what makes Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s romance work, the two-time Oscar nominee sent his longtime girlfriend to the Met Gala stag on Monday.
Not that Jenner seemed to mind. The reality TV star-turned-business mogul seemed to be having a blast rocking the “Superfine” theme. But Chalamet’s excuse for missing the always-anticipated haute couture fundraiser is, frankly, kind of lame.

While Jenner was showing off her curves in a see-through corset on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Page Six reports that Chalamet stayed home to watch the New York Knicks face off against the Boston Celtics. To be fair, it was more than just a regular season game: It was Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Making Chalamet’s seeming snub of the event even more unsurprising: He has only attended the event once before, in 2021, so it could be fair to say the Met Gala isn’t really his thing. Also: While he and Jenner are frequently seen cozying up at awards shows and the like, they still have yet to walk a red carpet together.
On the other hand: That Chalamet was simply watching the game from home—with friends, all gathered around a tiny iPad no less—instead of heading to Boston to watch the game in person makes it seem like less of an “event.” At the same time, his beloved Knicks did indeed triumph with a final score of 108 to 105. So maybe Chalamet and his tiny iPad brought the team luck.
The Knicks and Celts will face off next on Wednesday night. Here’s hoping Kylie didn’t have any big plans for the duo.
