Grace Warrior Is Fearless Meeting a Colorful New Friend at Australia Zoo
Grace Warrior Irwin just might be the most fearless 4-year-old Down Under. And is it really all that surprising? Her grandfather is the late Crocodile Hunter, after all. Chandler Powell just shared a pair of photos of his daughter meeting a colorful new friend at Australia Zoo. And while other kids might (understandably) cower, Grace Irwin instantly reached out to pet it.
Powell recently posted two photos on Instagram of himself and his wife, Bindi Irwin, dressed in their khaki Australia Zoo uniforms. They sit on a floral blanket outdoors with their daughter Grace between them. She is rocking a floral print dress (duh!), and she smiles at the new friend in front of her.
“Introducing Grace to Ruby the macaw chick,” Powell captioned the post. “These family moments remind me just how lucky we are to live @australiazoo. Love my girls so much ????????”
Ruby has mostly blue and yellow feathers with some hints of green peeking through. The beautiful baby bird seems to have no problem with her young neighbor petting her, and it’s all just so wholesome. Later on, Bindi shared a video from that picturesque meeting, and Grace was too precious saying that Ruby is “so sweet” and that she feels “soft” like the chickens.
“Adorable! ☺️,” one follower commented on Powell’s post. Another said, “Your sweet family warms my heart ????”
“I love your family’s love for wildlife which inspired me to be who I am. Keep being the wildlife warriors you are! ❤️,” yet another person said, undoubtedly shouting out all the Irwins and their conservation efforts.
Matriarch Terri Irwin also shared some photos with Bindi, Grace, and an adorable animal.
“Releasing this sweet little echidna back to the wild after she was rescued from the road and cared for @australiazoo’s Wildlife Hospital. ????,” Terri captioned the carousel on Instagram.
This is far from the first time little Grace helped release a rehabilitated animal. In March, she went on a boat with her grandma (or her “bunny”), her parents, and her Uncle Robert Irwin to help release a sea turtle.
“Lulu the sea turtle has been @australiazoo Wildlife Hospital for several months after she was hit by a boat,” Terri captioned the post. “Such an exciting day to be releasing her back to the wild now that she has healed. Remember to use propeller guards to better protect wildlife. ????”
It is so special that Grace has all these exceptional interactions with the animals that live in her backyard, and with those who are going back to their natural habitats.
