Bill Belichick's Girlfriend Responds to Former NFL Quarterback's Criticism
Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson have increased their time in the spotlight recently, but not for the reasons they were likely anticipating.
A video of Hudson interrupting a "CBS News Sunday Morning" interview with the North Carolina Tar Heels coach went viral, as the 24-year-old refused to allow a reporter to ask about how they met.
Hudson and Belichick have told the story several times - they first encountered one another on a flight - but the control over Belichick's media appearances and in other aspects of his professional life has caused some controversy.
One former NFL quarterback called out Hudson for being a "distraction" as Belichick prepares to coach college football for the first time.
“Bill can date whoever he wants, but his relationship has become the one thing he always hated as a coach, a DISTRACTION for his UNC Football team," said Robert Griffin III on social media.
Another account on social media replied to Griffin's message, asking “is it a distraction for him or for us?," a message that Hudson would re-post to her own profile.

She took a similar stance after initially facing criticism for interrupting Belichick's interview, re-posting supportive comments from other users.
“I see a woman who cares about her man and doesn’t want him to be screwed around by the media," another post on her account reads, replying to another critical message about Hudson's perceived involvement in the CBS News interview.
Belichick defended Hudson in a statement last week, explaining that the interview was meant to “focus solely on the contents of [Belichick's new] book.” When the conversation veered away from the book, Belichick says that Hudson took the opportunity to get things back on track.
The coach also accused CBS News of showing “selectively edited clips and stills” that don't tell the full narrative of the interaction while claiming that “Jordon was attempting to control the conversation.”
CBS News would release a statement the same day, saying that there were "no preconditions or limitations to this conversation" and that the interview was always meant to cover a variety of topics.
