Inspired by the "howcatchem" styles of Columbo and created by "Knives Out" director Rian Johnson, Poker Face follows amateur sleuth Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne), a casino cocktail waitress who finds herself on the run. Charlie holds a preternatural ability to tell when someone's lying, which often accidentally lands her in hot water (hence, why she's on the run in both seasons). She traverses the United States as she attempts to fly under the radar, working odd jobs, but continually finds herself at the scene of a crime (usually a murder) that only she can solve. It's a "Murder, She Wrote"-like proximity to casualty and a send-up to many iconic murder mysteries.
If you thought Season 1 was star-studded, Season 2 is even more impressive. Rhea Perlman and Simon Helberg will reprise their Season 1 roles. Perlman makes an appearance in the trailer, suggesting that she'll be more than just an off-screen voice this season. Where to watch Poker Face in the US
Poker Face streams on Peacock in the US. Season 1 is available to stream in full, and new episodes of Season 2 drop on Thursdays starting May 8. The season will premiere with three new episodes. Subscriptions start at $8/month for the ad-supported Peacock Premium tier, but you can upgrade to ad-free Peacock Premium Plus for $14/month. These are month-to-month plans, meaning you can cancel at any time, but you can also lock into an annual plan for some year-over-year savings.
Where to watch Poker Face in the UK
In the UK, Poker Face will air on Sky Max starting May 9. Sky prices vary by contract length and plan. You'll need to get the Sky Ultimate plan to access Sky Max.
