Two arrested in connection with May 6 Franklin homicide, victim identified
FRANKLIN, La. (KLFY) -- Two people have been arrested in connection with a murder in Franklin earlier this week, authorities said.
The victim has been identified as Dalyn Bell, 20, of Franklin.
Alfred Collins Jr., 33, Franklin, was arrested early Friday morning and charged with second degree murder, four counts of attempted second degree murder and two counts of possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies.
Precious Joseph, 28, Franklin, is charged with accessory after the fact to second degree murder, possession of MDMA, and possession of Schedule I drugs.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office responded just after 7 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting on Bray Lane in Franklin.
Upon arrival, deputies found Bell had been shot, officials said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Bail was set on Collins at $2,600,000 and on Joseph at $505,000.
