Ben Affleck's Friends Are Linking Him to One of Tom Cruise's Exes Amid 'Jealousy' Over Ana de Armas
Ben Affleck’s friends have a suggestion for how he can get “revenge” against Tom Cruise over the Top Gun actor’s romance with Ana de Armas.
Sources revealed how Affleck is feeling about his former friend’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend, telling the Daily Mail that the Argo director is definitely a “jealous” type.
As a result, friends have been joking that the 52-year-old actor “should get revenge on Cruise by dating his ex-wife Katie Holmes.” The Dawson’s Creek alum does appear to be single, but she is based in New York City, where she raised her and Cruise’s daughter Suri, while Affleck and his three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner reside in Los Angeles.
The Daily Mail’s source claimed that Affleck is doing his best to wrap his head around Cruise’s romance with de Armas, 37. “He really liked Ana a lot and then she walked away and left him sad,” the source said. “So to see her happy with his friend is kind of weird for him.”
Affleck and de Armas dated from 2019 until 2021 after meeting on the set of Deep Water. At the time of their split, People reported that de Armas broke it off because she wanted to leave Los Angeles. “Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles-based based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles,” a source claimed.
Cruise, who primarily lives in London, has been linked to the Cuban-born actress since February, when they were spotted grabbing dinner in the English city the day before Valentine’s Day. At the time, a source shut down dating rumors to People, saying the dinner was strictly business and the two stars were just “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”
A few days after the dinner, de Armas was photographed in Madrid, holding hands with boyfriend Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the step-son of Cuban President, whom she started dating in May 2024.
However, Cruise and de Armas ignited rumors again in April with a helicopter ride from Madrid to London. At the end of the month, the pair rang in the actress’s birthday with another helicopter ride in London, followed by a dinner date.
