Man pleads not guilty to Menands slashing
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man pleaded not guilty in Albany County Court on Friday after being indicted for allegedly slashing a person on Broadway Avenue in Menands. The Albany County District Attorney's Office said Jude Jacotin, 59, is facing multiple charges.
The DA's office said Menands Police Department arrested Jacotin after responding to 35 Broadway Ave. for calls of an attack. When law enforcement arrived, they found a victim who had been stabbed and slashed on the right side of his face, his chest, right hand, and lower right leg.
Jacotin was remanded to Albany County Jail following his arraignment. Jacotin is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree attempted assault, and second-degree assault.
