Topeka man hospitalized in Kansas Turnpike crash
LYON COUNTY (KSNT) - State troopers say a Topeka man was hospitalized Saturday after crashing on the Kansas Turnpike.
The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) reports the crash happened just before 10 a.m. on May 10 on I-335 near mile-marker 140 in Lyon County. A Lincoln MKZ was traveling north on the Kansas Turnpike in the right lane when it went off the road on the right side where it hit a fence and entered the ditch.
The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Topeka, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the KHP.
