Eagles’ Jordan Mailata Leaves Chris Stapleton Stunned With Surprise Singing Voice Backstage
Country singer Chris Stapleton has taken home 74 awards dating back to 2006, so it’s safe to say that he’s used to being the one taking center stage when it's time to put on a show.
However, Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata had other plans when he and Stapleton linked up backstage at a concert. Mailata took on the role of the singer, and left Stapleton in awe while performing the 47-year-old's own song right in front of him.
Best of all, Mailata chose a song previously nominated for Song of the Year at the American Country Countdown Awards, 'Tennessee Whiskey,' and the 2024 Second-Team All-Pro knocked it out of the park.

It's one thing to have an incredible voice like that, but it's another thing entirely to be comfortable putting it on display in the fashion Mailata did.
Although this is far from the 28-year-old's first time performing, it's still an impressive clip to watch. Mailata competed in season 7 of The Masked Singer as "Thingamabob." He also formed a vocal group named The Philly Specials with then-Eagles teammates Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.
Mailata, Kelce and Johnson made three Christmas albums as a group. The first was titled A Philly Special Christmas, the sequel called A Philly Special Christmas Special in 2023 and last but not least, A Philly Special Christmas Party in 2024.
