Road closures announced for 18th annual CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 18th annual CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge will take place this Thursday. Several roads will be closed across the city of Albany throughout the duration of the race.
Over 8,000 runners and walkers are expected to participate in this year's CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge, marking the largest running event in the Capital Region. The race serves as the major fundraiser for the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club, which offers college scholarships, grants, a free children's running program and more.
Each year, the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club and CDPHP also choose one or more charities to benefit from the race. This year's selected charities, the Girls on the Run Capital Region and Unity House, will receive a donation from CDPHP, as well as direct contributions from race participants.
