Milestones: Good news about Marin people
Recognition: Kristin Tiéche, who grew up in Mill Valley, won the DocLands Audience Choice Award for her documentary film “The Invisible Mammal” at this year’s DocLands Documentary Film Festival.
Scholarships: Owen J. Xu, of the Branson School, and Nicholas Hartung and Charles Scott, both of Redwood High School, were awarded National Merit Scholarships. They each will receive $2,500.
Recognition: Sausalito-based pet food company Pure Cravings won a 2025 Vanguard Award from Pet Age magazine. They were recognized for developing “a proprietary technology to guarantee cats are only receiving the purest form of nutrient-dense fish,” according to Pet Age.
