Chelsea ‘have spoken to representatives’ of 10 g/a Man United star
Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho could leave the club this summer.
The Argentina international has been a regular under manager Ruben Amorim but has been inconsistent, registering 10 goal involvements in 38 games.
Despite his inconsistency at United, the 20-year-old is on the radar of several European heavyweights, including Chelsea.
The Blues were linked with the Argentine during the winter transfer window, but they made no concrete move to sign him.
They have now explored the possibility of him moving to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella.
He told BBC: ‘In the wide attacker position, Chelsea have spoken to representatives of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho and Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens in January.
“Those moves could be linked to whether Jadon Sancho signs permanently or whether Mykhailo Mudryk can escape his provisional ban for allegedly failing a drugs test.”
Man United should not sell Garnacho to Chelsea
United would be tempted to sell the talented forward, as the proceeds from his sale would count as pure profit to the club, as he is an academy graduate.
However, they must not sell him to Chelsea, one of their rivals. Garnacho has the potential to become world-class, and selling him to them would be a mistake.
Serie A duo Napoli and Juventus have been linked with him. United would have no problem selling him to either club..
Napoli have a good relationship with United, having signed midfielder Scott McTominay from them last summer.
McTominay has been in excellent form for the Italian side, and they could be tempted to sign another player from United.
Juventus are also monitoring the situation and could intensify their interest when the transfer window opens.
