'The Diplomat' Already Renewed for Season 4 at Netflix Ahead of Season 3 Premiere, 2 Stars Confirmed to Return!
The Diplomat is getting a fourth season!
Ahead of the release of Season 3, the Netflix hit series has already greenlit a Season 4.
The streamer declares: “Kate (Keri Russell), Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), and the rest of the political power players will be back for more stately homes and state secrets.”
The third season of the series will see Bradley Whitford join the cast as Todd Penn, the husband of Allison Janney’s President Grace Penn.

The third season arrives on Netflix later this fall.
Here’s the official logline: “In the midst of an international crisis, a career diplomat lands in a high-profile job she’s unsuited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.”
Creator, showrunner, and executive producer Debora Cahn says: “Season 3 flips the chessboard. Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.”
