Bills fans react to 2025 schedule release
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) -- The NFL has officially released the full 2025 schedule on Wednesday and Bills Mafia is ready for football to be back in Buffalo.
"I'm very excited. I want to go to the first season opener too," said Bills fan Jennifer Piraino. "I'm going to try and win tickets and I haven't been to a Bills game in a while, I mean in a long while."
The home game against the Kansas City Chiefs is one home game fans are already talking about. After several intense playoff games and close regular season matchups, many believe this is the game to watch.
"I think its themselves that are going to be their biggest thing," said Bills fan Ken Calabrese. "If they handle themselves on both sides of the ball, they'll be fine."
Others believe the home schedule might actually be tougher than the road games, pointing to several strong teams coming to Orchard Park this season.
"I mean, their home schedule is pretty touch — to see Philly, Cincinnati in the same conference, dark horses like Houston, maybe even the Dolphins, but probably not," Calabrese said.
Another talking point, the Bills have not been selected for an international game, meaning nine games will be played at home this season, something fans and business owners are actually excited about.
"That means that we will get an extra game at home," said Bernadette Singer, the operations manager of Prohibition 2020 in Orchard Park. "Our bar is adjacent and closest to the Bills stadium, so that's really good for the surrounding bars. It's good business for us to not have an international game."
The Bills are also slated for five prime time matchups this season, a spotlight fans said speaks volumes about the respect they're earning across the league.
"I mean, you want the best and the brightest out there," said Nick Pietrzak, a bartender at Prohibition 2020. "I think that just shows how good we are as a team and how far we've come along in the last five and six years."
