City of Edmond seeks volunteers for annual copper and lead testing
EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - The City of Edmond is seeking volunteers to expand the sampling pool for its annual copper and lead testing program.
Edmond officials say, the sampling event is scheduled to start on June 1 - September 30 due to
the type of materials used in some interior plumbing.
To meet the criteria for testing, your home must be a single-family structure that includes any of the following:
- Copper w/Lead Solder (CLS) constructed between 1983-1988
- Lead Pipes (LP) including lead goosenecks or pigtails
- Lead Service Lines (LSL)
Edmond water resource leaders say, resident are encourage to apply for the program if you have concern regarding the possibility of high levels of lead and copper in drinking water.
