Medical marijuana business licenses restored after software glitch
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — After a software glitch mistakenly canceled the licenses of thousands of medical marijuana businesses earlier this week, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority says the licensing issue has been resolved as of Friday.
On Wednesday, OMMA said thousands of medical marijuana businesses were alerted after a glitch with the Thentia licensing portal canceled their business licenses overnight.
In a social media post on Friday, OMMA announced that the issue leading to the cancelation has been resolved after working with the vender, and the licenses that were incorrectly canceled have now been restored.
"The issue that led to the cancellation of business licenses has been resolved after working in tandem with the licensing vendor to address the root cause," OMMA said in the post. "Licenses that were incorrectly canceled have been updated and now reflect the correct status. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding."
OMMA told News 4 on Wednesday they intend to move away from Thentia as its licensing software within the next fiscal year.
