Glens Falls holds ribbon cutting for new market and events center
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The city of Glens Falls celebrated its newest attraction on Friday. It's a market and events center that's been almost 10 years in the making.
City leaders held a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the facility. It will be the future home of the Glens Falls Farmers Market as well as new restaurants and art studios.
It's part of a downtown revitalization project that was spearheaded by former mayor Ed Bartholomew, who passed away in 2020. The market and events center will be called The Ed after Bartholomew.
The city said the next step in the project will be new housing nearby.
