Long gone are the days when you needed an anime-exclusive streaming service to watch your favorite series; now, you can turn to popular services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Max for both new releases and classic titles in the genre. With that in mind, more and more viewers are cutting Crunchyroll from their monthly subscriptions to save money, and I've broken down how to do so below.
Luckily, it only takes a few clicks to cancel a Crunchyroll subscription. After doing so, you'll have until the day before your renewal date to continue watching at your current plan's level, whether you're a Fan, Mega Fan, or Ultimate Fan, before it reverts you to a free account. New premium members can also take advantage of a free seven-day Mega Fan trial that can be canceled at any time.
Be aware that canceling your paid subscription won't delete your account — it only converts it to a free one. If you're interested in wiping it altogether, you'll need to take additional steps.
Here's how to cancel a premium Crunchyroll membership and delete your entire account. And for more details on the service, check out our full "What is Crunchyroll" guide.

What are the best Crunchyroll alternatives?
If you're looking for a new place to find great anime after canceling your Crunchyroll membership, you have several worthwhile options to choose from. Many of the best streaming services have their own library of anime series and movies.
Netflix is one of the best, with a wide range of classic series and new exclusive originals, like "Castlevania," "Delicious in Dungeon," and "Aggretsuko." Meanwhile, Max is home to Studio Ghibli classics like "Princess Mononoke," "Ponyo," and "Spirited Away." Hulu offers new hits like "Spy x Family" and "Chainsaw Man," and Amazon Prime Video features cult classics like "Ranma 1/2" and "Kaiba."
