Caitlin Clark Sends 7-Word Message to LeBron James
WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark sent a seven-word message to basketball legend LeBron James.
James started the back-and-forth when he posted a photo showing him with Clark before her historic game on May 17, 2025.
The NBA legend also offered Clark advice in that post. "Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!! @caitlinclark22 ????????????????????????," he wrote.
That earned a response from Clark.
"The greatest of all time. Thank you ????❤️????????," Clark responded in James' comment thread.
Fans enjoyed the exchange. "Did Bron get hacked ? Who randomly posts two goats on a Saturday afternoon ? ????????????" wrote one person on his comment thread.
"The best player in the NBA and WNBA," another person wrote. "Two of the most influential basketball players ever…" wrote another fan.
"Greatest player of all time and LeBron ????????," added another person.
The WNBA touted Clark's historic performance in the May 17 game against the Chicago Sky.
"Caitlin Clark made history on Opening Day She recorded a triple-double (20 PTS, 10 REB, 10 AST) to lead the @indianafever to a dominant win," the WNBA wrote. "She’s now the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 3 career triple-doubles (41 games) …and ties Candace Parker for 3rd-most all-time!"
James also gave Clark a shout-out on his X page after that game, writing, "TRIPLE DUB CC!! Great way to kick off the season!"
Although James has not hesitated to publicly support Clark, his X post sparked some controversy among fans who urged him to speak out for Chicago Sky player, and Clark rival, Angel Reese as well.
