Cardona's Market to donate to South End Children's Cafe
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- As part of its "eight days of giving" Cardona's Market will be donating 80 sandwiches to the South End Children's Cafe Monday afternoon. The donations will be delivered at 3 p.m. with the help of the Albany Fire Department's Engine 9 and Hook and Ladder #4 crews.
Cardona's Market is celebrating its 80th anniversary this month by giving back to the community. The "eight days of giving" began on May 15 and will continue until May 22.
According to the market, South End Children's Cafe has been impacting food insecurity and address food equity and justice since 2015. The cafe offers free meals along with homework help and mentoring to children in the community.
South End Children's Cafe will also receive a bounce house donated by Love Albany.
In addition to the daily donations, Cardona's Markets are running different in-store specials.
Specials:
- Monday, May 19 – Meatball Monday: 6-packs of meatballs are on special for $8. (Limit three packs per customer)
- Tuesday, May 20 – Take-Out Tuesday: Select grab-n-go classics for $8 each. Choices include Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm. (Limit is four selections per customer)
- Wednesday, May 21 – Winning Wednesday: Stop by any market on Winning Wednesday for a chance to enter to win various grand prizes
- Thursday, May 22 – Gift Card Promo: Get a $100 Cardona’s gift card for $88 (Limit five per customer, in-store only)
