Business subsidy cut proposals rejected again by Finnish government
The Finnish government has declined a Ministry of Finance proposal to cut direct business subsidies, despite being presented with the plan for a third time.
The proposal, tabled during the government's midterm budget session, included several suggested savings measures. None were approved.
“We had a list of items with calculations, but in the end, it was all stripped out,” said Mika Niemelä, budget director at the Ministry of Finance.
