Starbucks Makes Big Menu Change Starting This Week
Starbucks is no stranger to testing out new products and the beloved coffee brand has something lined up for customers just in time for summer.
On May 19 the company announced the return of its fan-favorite fan-favorite Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers while debuting two new products for the first time. "Featuring a sweet and summery blend of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry flavors shaken with ice and water, poured over raspberry flavored pearls, this returning drink delivers a juicy burst of raspberry flavor in every sip," Starbucks said about the iconic drink.
As the shaken espresso craze runs rampant, Starbucks is capitalizing with a new flavor: Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso will be joining the menu.
Meanwhile, Starbucks debuted its new Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop to go along with is berry refreshers. The company described the news oatmilk coffee drink with a "light, smooth and subtly sweet profile that pairs perfectly with oatmilk and the horchata flavored syrup – which is a fusion of warm cinnamon, sweet vanilla and subtle nutty notes reminiscent of the rice milk that makes up a traditional horchata."
Beverage developer Ricky Gonzalez, who helped curate the new beverage, was brought back to his childhood while working on the drink.
“In the central California neighborhood where I grew up, horchata was everywhere—on street corners, in convenience stores, and on the menu at most Mexican restaurants we visited,” Gonzalez said in a statement. “Every Sunday, we would have a family meal at a Mexican restaurant, and horchata was always a treat for my brother and me. It was icy, sweet, and spiced with cinnamon. It’s both comforting and refreshing.”
All three items will become available on May 20 through the summer...while supplies last.
