Morgan Wallen Dominates Apple Music Charts
Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest stars in country music right now, but based on a rather shocking announcement on Monday morning, it's clear that he is also the top artist on the planet right now in any genre – at least in terms of streaming popularity.
Every day, Apple Music updates its "Top 100: Global" playlist, which ranks the most popular songs on the streaming service.
"The most popular songs around the world, updated every day," Apple says in the playlist's description.
On Sunday, Morgan Wallen thoroughly took over the chart. As Pop Crave announced on social media on Monday, Wallen's songs occupied 35 of the top 50 slots on the playlist.
This came shortly after the country music superstar released his new album "I'm The Problem" on Friday, May 19. Clearly, the album was an instant success with nearly every song from the album topping the Apple Music charts.
In addition to having 35 songs in the top 50, Wallen also had the five most popular songs in the world. His collaboration With Tate McRae, "What I Want," topped the list with "Just in Case," "Superman," "I Got Better," and "I'm the Problem" all following, all of which are from his latest album.
Needless to say, it's shocking for one artist to have such massive success after an album release, and the news certainly turned heads on social media.
"Funny how it’s been progressively going up, and the album dropped 70 hours ago," one fan wrote in a post on X.
"Dude will be in the country music hall of fame when his career is over," someone else added.
"That's absurd," another person wrote.
"Country fans eating good," someone else commented.
"When consistency meets fan love, records fall!," another person wrote.
Clearly, Wallen's new album has been an enormous success.
