Bennington Museum announces 2025 Concerts in the Courtyard lineup
BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10)-- The 2025 Concerts in the Courtyard summer line-up at the Bennington Museum was announced Monday. The concerts will be held each Friday with music from jazz to folk and bluegrass to rock.
The museum will welcome 13 performing groups from June 6 to September 5. According to the museum, each performance was chosen through an application process, in which 60% of performers are new.
"It is always such a pleasure to listen through the applications and fit the scheduling pieces together- the hard part is deciding. We provide feedback to the groups who weren't selected and hope that they will apply again the following year," Alexina Jones, director of advancement, said. "We wouldn't be able to bring these great events to the community without our foundational underwriters who are supporting this series for the 4th year in a row. Because of them, thousands of people from our Bennington community and beyond have come together to enjoy music which provides a common ground and an escape from all of the political turmoil around us. And, because of this grant, the musicians are paid for their time, which allows us to offer these events free of charge."
Lineup includes:
- June 6: Duologues Plus
- June 13: Danny & The Parts
- June 20: Midnight Choir
- June 27: Phil Henry & The Newsfeed
- July 11: The Insolent Willies
- July 18: Rusticator
- July 25: The Yankee Brass Band
- August 1: Girl Blue
- August 8: Big Stone Gap
- August 15: Sirsy
- August 22: The Velvet Wave
