Travis Kelce Addresses His Viral Joke About Taylor Swift at Patrick Mahomes Auction
Almost a week after getting laughs at the 15 and the Mahomies Vegas Golf Classic Gala by joking that he had already won the autographed Taylor Swift guitar up for auction, Travis Kelce revisited the moment on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason.
“There’s this clip of you helping a good cause by running up an auction price for a signed guitar,” Jason told listeners on Wednesday.
Travis pushed back on the idea that he had purposely bid up the price. “No, I put my paddle up because I wanted it and then I realized, ‘Oh, I already have it. Oh, that was the guitar I have,'" he said.
Jason questioned his brother's timing, asking, “You realized it afterwards?”
The Kansas City Chiefs star explained he “had to get a good look" at the instrument. “You don’t want to buy the same guitar twice," he added.
Jason, 37, laughed and praised the response, calling his brother’s quip “well done.”
Meanwhile, Swift has largely stayed out of the spotlight this year following the end of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Travis, enjoying the NFL offseason after a tough Super Bowl loss, has been seen out and about solo — golfing in Las Vegas, modeling in New York City, and more.
On the latest episode of New Heights, Jason Kelce played the viral X video of 35-year-old Travis setting down his paddle and taking a seat.

The couple notably skipped this year’s Met Gala earlier this month. Swift was not in attendance at the auction, after attending last year.
