Man dies weeks after shooting near SW Portland pre-school
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The man who was wounded in a shooting near a Southwest Portland preschool died Friday, about two weeks after the incident.
Manuel Castillo Garza IV of Wilsonville was shot in a parking lot near The Gan Jewish Preschool on SW Capitol Highway. Investigators said the armed security guard for the school was involved in the shooting. The school's rabbi said the guard had been harassed and assaulted before the guard shot the man in self-defense.
Garza was 32.
The security guard was not facing charges. The investigation continues.
